In
1971, firms from Germany, France and the UK joined together to form
Kreston International, a network of independent accounting firms.
The idea to create an international network arose primarily as a
defensive measure to reduce the risk of expanding clients
transferring their business to larger firms with access to
international markets.
The
name ‘Kreston’ was taken from the ancient Greek word meaning ‘Trust’
or ‘Faith’ – a quality, which, to this very day, strongly imbedded
in Kreston core values.
It is
the inherent philosophy of mutual respect and goodwill, which has
seen the network go from strength to strength. Today Kreston is a
worldwide network of independent firms, specialising accountancy and
business advisory services, and ranks amongst the top 15 largest
accounting networks in the world. Over 11,400 professional staff in
more than 428 offices worldwide generate an annual fee income in
excess of US$1.1bn.
Independence is key to Kreston members. It is because of this that
our membership is dedicated to providing its clients with the
highest quality work standards and a commitment to personal partner
service.
Our
members find comfort and strength in the knowledge that the Kreston
network is comprised of like-minded firms, whose professionalism is
based on integrity, honesty, transparency and the desire to offer an
unmatched service.
